Travel Insurance for Volunteers
Volunteers can choose the upgrade and add the insurance benefits described below for an additional $40:
- $200 Travel Delay
Reimbursement up to the maximum amount shown if your trip is delayed for 12 hours or more due to weather, strike, or other job action, or equipment failure. Reimbursement of reasonable additional expenses until travel becomes possible.
- $2,000 Baggage and Personal Effects
Reimbursement for loss, theft, or damage to baggage and personal effects.
- $1,000 Travel Document Replacement
Reimbursement of fees associated with the replacement of your travel documents in the event they are lost or stolen during your time abroad.
- $200 Baggage Delay
Reimbursement of the cost of necessary personal items if your baggage is delayed or misdirected for more than 24 hours.
- $250 per day for 61 days Sickness/Hospital Benefit
Coverage for sickness requiring admittance into a hospital as an inpatient.
- $100,000 Accident Medical Expense
Coverage for medical and surgical expenses due to an Accident. This coverage pays medical expenses within one year from the date of injury, provided initial treatment was received while abroad.
- $500 Dental Expense
Covers the cost of emergency dental treatment given by a Physician or dentist.
- $1,000,000 Emergency Medical Transportation
Offers emergency medical transportation if you suffer a serious illness or injury while abroad that warrants an Emergency Evacuation.
- $50,000 Repatriation of Remains
Reimbursement of the reasonable covered expenses incurred to return your body to the United States in the event of your death while abroad.
- $10,000 Accidental Death & Dismemberment
Coverage for the loss of life or limb while abroad.

The coverage is in effect for one full year from the date of issue while traveling outside your home country
Must be a US resident (50 US States only)
